Your role:

  • Global Relay delivers enterprise services to 23,000 customers in 90 countries, including 22 of the top 25 global banks.
  • Senior TPMs are responsible for delivering the product roadmap driving new products and features through the development process.
  • They work closely with other Product Managers to ensure roadmaps are clear, prioritized, achievable, and aligned with strategy.

About the team:

  • The TPM on this team will be working on building and maintaining core infrastructure services that drive how message and its metadata is stored.
  • These services are designed for high availability, redundancy, security, and fast access.
  • An understanding of file & object storage systems and data security is preferred.

Your responsibilities:

  • Responsible for delivery of components / features in alignment with strategy and the broader roadmap.
  • Collaborate with Product Management, Sales, Support, clients, and other TPMs to produce and manage their component’s backlog and contribute to the product roadmap.
  • Translate product roadmap initiatives and feature requests into models, workflow diagrams, epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, and other suitable artifacts.
  • Collaborate with other TPMs, Architects, UI/UX, and Team Leads to drive requirements through the design phase.
  • Identify and coordinate cross component dependencies throughout the development process.
  • Work with Product Management, Development, and other departments to actively remove obstacles blocking progress.
  • Attend daily stand ups with your Product Manager and other TPMs in your product team.
  • Attend daily stand ups, grooming, sprint planning, demos, retrospectives and other team meetings with your Agile team(s).
  • Create work estimates, track progress, and report status in the form of burn up/down charts and dashboards.
  • Support Product Management, Marketing, Sales, Provisioning, Professional Services, Technical Documentation, Training, and Technical Support throughout the release process.
  • Understand the design, business logic, and technical architecture of their platform components and how those components interact with the rest of the platform.
  • Serve as primary product expert (functional, not technical) for the components for which you are responsible.

About you:

  • 6+ years of experience as a (Sr) Technical Product Manager or product owner.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical, business, and C level executives.
  • Strong requirement management skills (elicitation, analysis, use case modeling, workflow, documentation, etc.).
  • Experience with Agile and Scrum development methodologies.
  • Experience coaching/mentoring/training others.

Nice to have:

  • Experience as a software developer/engineer.
  • Experience with a SaaS, messaging, or enterprise software company.
  • Experience driving cross team initiatives and collaborating with stakeholders across the organization.
  • Strong requirement elicitation, analysis, domain modelling, use case modeling, workflow design, and documentation skills.
  • Understanding of high availability file and object storage systems; security principles at an enterprise level.

Compensation:

  • British Columbia Base salary range: $130,000 CAD $150,000 CAD.
  • Individual pay rates are determined by evaluating factors such as expertise, skills, education, and professional background.
