Role overview
Lead technical development and optimisation of VMS and supplement products across multiple formats.
Provide technical leadership across formulation, manufacturing, and quality while partnering with cross-functional teams.
Key responsibilities
- Lead development and optimisation of gummies, powders, capsules, tablets, liquids, soft gels, and sachets.
- Guide ingredient compatibility, interactions, stability, bioavailability, and formulation performance.
- Assess feasibility and identify formulation or manufacturing risks early.
- Support quality, stability, sensory, degradation, and manufacturing troubleshooting investigations.
- Review and approve formulations, specifications, manufacturing instructions, and technical documentation.
- Ensure claims, sensory expectations, shelf life, and cost parameters are achieved.
- Manage and develop Senior and Junior Product Development Associates.
- Interpret pre-commercial stability data and report trends and recommendations.
- Manage the pre-commercial stability and pilot trial budget.
Required qualifications and experience
- Degree in Food Science, Pharmaceutical Science, Chemistry, Nutrition, Biomedical Science, or a related discipline.
- At least 8 years of experience in the supplement, VMS, nutraceutical, pharmaceutical, or wellness industry.
