Role Overview

Must-Have Qualifications

• 5–8 years of commercial Power BI Developer experience, preferably in a corporate or enterprise environment.
• Advanced DAX expertise, including complex calculations, performance optimization, and calculation groups.
• Deep semantic modeling expertise covering relationships, hierarchies, row-level security, and reusable measure libraries.
• Experience with dimensional data modeling, enterprise data warehouse design, SQL, SSRS, SSIS, and Azure SQL Database.
• Understanding of database management systems, OLAP architectures, ETL processes, and Azure-centric analytics ecosystems.
• Practical Databricks experience in collaboration with data engineering teams and large-scale processing environments.
• Ability to translate business requirements into scalable BI solutions and advise business stakeholders.
• Experience with performance testing, technical documentation, governance, security, and compliance frameworks.
• Mandatory experience coaching and mentoring junior and mid-level developers.
• Experience with Power BI deployment pipelines, Git version control, and CI/CD practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, deploy, and optimize complex Power BI dashboards, reports, and semantic models.
• Design and govern enterprise datasets and performant semantic layers over complex source systems.
• Apply dashboard UX principles and influence visualization standards and best practices.
• Conduct performance testing, identify bottlenecks, and optimize reports and underlying data models.
• Manage concurrent initiatives, prioritize effectively, and operate independently.
• Create and maintain technical documentation aligned with corporate standards.
• Coach and mentor junior and mid-level developers through knowledge sharing and code reviews.

Additional Skills

• Awareness of Microsoft Fabric and its role in unified analytics platforms.
• Interest in generative AI tools and their use in business intelligence workflows.
• Familiarity with Copilot for Power BI, AI-assisted analytics, or natural language querying.
• Experience applying prompt engineering techniques in analytics contexts.
