Responsibilities
- Lead the design and technical delivery of multidisciplinary MEP systems, including HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, fire alarm, and electrical systems.
- Cover residential, commercial, industrial, healthcare, and other complex projects.
- Direct design development, technical reviews, shop drawing preparation, coordination, and value engineering.
- Ensure designs, specifications, equipment selections, and technical documentation comply with local regulations and international standards.
- Review design drawings, technical specifications, equipment data sheets, material submittals, BOQs, and construction documentation before submission.
- Lead and supervise technical and design teams, delegate responsibilities, monitor productivity, and maintain technical standards.
- Coordinate with project management, operations, procurement, and cost control teams on technical requirements and construction deliverables.
- Manage consultant and client technical approvals and conduct site inspections.
- Resolve interdisciplinary coordination issues and transfer approved documentation to project execution teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in MEP design and engineering for residential, commercial, industrial, healthcare, and other complex facilities.
- Expert-level knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, fire alarm, electrical, and integrated MEP system design for design-and-build projects.
- Strong working knowledge of ASHRAE, SMACNA, DIN, BS, EU, UPC, IPC, NFPA, and relevant energy codes.
- Demonstrated expertise in technical leadership, multidisciplinary design coordination, value engineering, shop drawings, BOQ preparation, material approvals, and construction documentation.
- Proven ability to lead engineering teams, make complex technical decisions, manage competing priorities, and coordinate across functions.
