Responsibilities
- Review complex Canadian individual and corporate tax returns and other tax work prepared by staff
- Review and approve technical research and tax planning recommendations for private companies
- Deliver high quality tax planning, services, and advice
- Work closely with Tax Partners and other senior staff on business tax compliance, tax provision and tax advisory engagements
- Lead special tax engagements
- Actively mentor and coach staff to their highest potential
- Build and manage client relationships at a senior level and identify client service opportunities
Requirements
- Canadian Professional Accounting Designation (CPA) or equivalent
- Successful completion of CPA Canada In Depth Tax Course or Master of Tax Program
- 7+ years of public accounting experience with a tax specialty
- Excellent technical knowledge of Canadian tax issues and GAAP for tax provisions
- High proficiency in MS Office, Caseware/Caseview, TaxPrep, and tax research software
- Strong leadership skills and ability to coach and develop team members

What you bring to the table
