Role Overview
Arista Networks is hiring a Senior Systems Engineer for its Sales Engineering team.
The role provides pre-sales technical systems engineering support to enterprise and commercial customers in Western India.
Responsibilities
- Gather customer requirements and identify opportunities with account teams.
- Conduct network architecture reviews and product presentations.
- Design data center and campus solutions using leaf-spine, VxLAN, EVPN, and overlays.
- Validate proof-of-concept setups, network designs, and deployments through hands-on testing.
- Prepare design guidelines, customer recommendations, and RFP or RFQ responses.
- Provide feedback to Product Management and Engineering.
- Represent Arista at industry events and monitor competitive solutions.
Required Qualifications
- BE, BS, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering technical degree.
- At least 10 years of L2/L3 networking design and implementation experience in data center and campus networks.
- Expert routing and switching knowledge across L2/L3 protocols and major networking platforms.
- Expertise in at least three listed networking technologies, including options such as BGP, VxLAN, EVPN, and QoS.
- Expert-level knowledge of industry-standard command-line interfaces.
Preferred Qualifications
- Network industry certification such as CCIE or JNCIE.
- Experience as a Sales Engineer, Solutions Architect, Pre-Sales Systems Engineer, or Network Consulting Engineer.
- Experience with network overlays, SDN, NFV, Python, or Ansible-based network automation.
- Ability to write technology and product white papers.
