Senior Systems Engineer role within the Sales Engineering team, supporting enterprise and commercial customers across Western India.
The role partners with account teams and works with Product Management, Software Development, TAC, and proof-of-concept resources.
What You Will Do
- Gather customer requirements, identify opportunities, and act as a trusted technical advisor.
- Conduct network architecture reviews and product presentations for data center, campus, security, automation, and monitoring solutions.
- Design and propose leaf-spine, VxLAN, EVPN, and network overlay solutions.
- Validate proof-of-concept setups, network designs, deployments, products, and new features.
- Prepare design guidance, respond to RFPs and RFQs, and recommend customer network improvements.
- Provide product feedback, represent Arista at industry events, track competitors, and author white papers.
Required Qualifications
- BE, BS, computer science, or computer engineering technical degree.
- At least 10 years of L2/L3 networking design and implementation experience focused on data center and campus networks.
- Expert-level routing and switching expertise, including L2/L3 protocols.
- Expert knowledge in at least three specified networking areas, including technologies such as BGP, VxLAN, EVPN, or QoS.
- Expert-level knowledge of industry-standard command-line interfaces.
Preferred Qualifications
- Network industry certification such as CCIE or JNCIE.
- Experience as a sales engineer, solutions architect, pre-sales systems engineer, or network consulting engineer.
- Experience with network overlays, SDN, network function virtualization, Python, or Ansible automation.
- Ability to write white papers is a plus.
Customer Coverage
- The position supports enterprise and commercial customers across the Western India area and includes participation in industry events and conferences.
