About NVIDIA

Role Overview

The team develops and operates globally distributed data storage and authentication services based on a microservice architecture.

The engineer will improve authentication and storage systems, create new microservices, and perform regression, stress, and performance testing.

What You Will Do

  • Participate in architecture design for distributed backend systems.
  • Maintain and improve authentication and authorization microservices while developing new services in OCaml or Rust.
  • Connect with customers and provide technical support for APIs and client use cases.
  • Improve unit and integration test coverage.
  • Participate in code reviews.
  • Perform regression, stress, and performance testing.

Required Qualifications

  • Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience, ideally in system programming.
  • Programming and debugging experience in Linux.
  • Deep understanding of HTTP and REST or HTTP-based RPC protocols such as Twirp or gRPC.
  • Experience with multithreaded and asynchronous network programming concepts and frameworks.
  • Understanding of deployment processes and networking in Kubernetes.
  • Excellent verbal and written technical English communication skills.

Additional Qualifications

  • Experience with Cassandra or similar databases and curiosity about distributed systems and algorithms are advantageous.
  • Understanding of OAuth and OIDC is advantageous; Active Directory and LDAP expertise is a plus.
  • Experience building secure systems that handle sensitive data is advantageous.
  • Linux debugging and profiling experience with tools such as perf, tcpdump, Wireshark, strace, or Valgrind is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of functional programming and strongly typed languages such as Haskell, OCaml, F#, Scala, or Rust is advantageous.
