Responsibilities
- Perform quality assurance activities of purchased items within project phase, monitoring and guiding suppliers to define and establish processes that deliver parts according to agreed specifications
- Industrialize products from sourcing phase through PPAP approval, tracking and monitoring the entire APQP process
- Manage a portfolio of suppliers
- Participate and contribute during design and technical specification and manufacturing feasibility reviews with suppliers and Volvo stakeholders
- Review tool design practices with suppliers, providing input as needed
- Lead review of pFMEA and Control Plans, securing Safe Launch / pre launch and serial production product and process characteristics are optimized toward Zero Defect Mentality
- Promote best practices for automated process control, mistake proof, automatic inspection, and segregation of defective parts in production process
Requirements
- 6 or more years of quality assurance, process quality, process engineering, or design engineering experience
- Continuous improvement and zero defect mentality
- Ability to create networks, collaborate, and lead cross functional activities within multi cultural teams
- Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain or related field, or equivalent working experience
- Experience of local sourcing projects
- Arabic language in addition to English will be a merit
- Supply Chain Evaluations experience will be an advantage

Position Description
- In Trucks Technology and Industrial Division, Purchasing, we are now looking for a Saudi Senior Supplier Quality Engineer to be based in Dubai, UAE or Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

- As Saudi Senior Quality Engineer you will take on the important challenge to secure Volvo & Renault Trucks objectivities for local sourcing in Saudi Arabia.
Core Responsibilities
- Senior Supplier Quality Engineer will perform quality assurance activities of purchased items within project phase with the objective of monitoring and guiding suppliers to define and establish processes that can deliver parts according to the agreed specifications on a consistent basis.
- You are responsible for the industrialization of products from sourcing phase through PPAP approval and will manage a portfolio of suppliers.
- Perform supplier auditing and quality assurance activities of purchased items within project.
