- Provide specialist skills and knowledge in subsea engineering and analysis including design codes and installation engineering
- Coordinate and engage in daily activities and schedule priorities for Subsea Engineering under limited supervision
- Support tender engineering with document review, preparation of subcontractor documents, CTR preparation, bid evaluation, and vendor selection
- Support Subsea projects and address requirements for procurement, design, and installation engineering/analysis in a lead role
- Assume responsibility for technical reports, design calculations, engineering analysis, and interface with third parties
- Attend and prepare for project progress meetings and departmental meetings
- Perform Installation Analysis for SURF projects using industry standard software
- Train and mentor graduates and junior engineers
- Understand client requirements and develop solutions satisfying codes and specifications
- Liaise with operational engineer to support project engineering and be available for site visits and offshore trips
Requirements
- 8 15 years of experience in oil and gas with a major contractor or consultant predominantly performing detail design
- Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Engineering
- Familiar with content and application of standards, codes, and guidelines as applicable
- Experience related to design and analysis of subsea equipment including risers, pipeline, subsea structure, and umbilical
- Experience with industry standard software packages for design and installation analysis (e.g., Orcaflex, Pipelay, Offpipe, Abaqus)
- Experience with industry commonly used codes and standards for subsea engineering
- Good organization and communication skills and ability to prioritize workload to meet project deadlines
- Working knowledge of English, both oral and written

Job Overview
- The Senior Subsea Engineer uses best practices and knowledge to improve the Subsea discipline within McDermott.

Essential Qualifications and Education
