The Senior Structural Professional Engineer is responsible for leading the structural design and analysis of a variety of building and infrastructure projects while collaborating closely with Parkhill’s integrated MEP/S team.
This position plays a key role in delivering innovative, cost-effective, and constructible solutions that meet client expectations and advance the firm’s mission of building stronger communities.
This is a full-time position, paid bi-weekly on a salary basis.

Parkhill is one of the largest architectural and engineering firms in the Southwest with 14 offices located throughout Texas, New Mexico, and Oklahoma.
- Prepare plans, reports, and studies for review
- Direct technicians and EIT’s for production of engineering documents for routine projects accurately and efficiently
- Interface with Clients when appropriate alongside Project Managers
- Visit construction sites to observe progress and determine general conformance to engineering plans and specifications
- Research design criteria, regulations, and standards as they relate to projects and incorporate them into design documents
- Mentor others in the proficient use of design software
- Review and approve structural designs for quality and code compliance
- Provide guidance on complex design issues
- Lead design teams, including EIT, technicians, and other licensed engineers on large or complex projects
- Manage design effort including planning hours for members of the structural project team
- Active involvement in development of EITs and mid-level engineers
- Manage project health including fees, schedule and hours for their projects
- Other duties as assigned
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, architectural engineering
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license
- Ability to use Revit/BIM
- Minimum15 years of structural building design experience in a consulting role
