Senior Structural Engineer (Site)

Role Overview

Responsibilities

• Conduct structural inspections and quality control assessments throughout all construction phases.
• Analyze structural performance data and field conditions and provide technical recommendations.
• Prepare and review inspection reports, structural calculations, and compliance certifications.
• Supervise and coordinate structural work activities on site according to engineering specifications and safety protocols.
• Evaluate design modifications and assess their structural implications with design teams.
• Manage material testing and verification for structural components.
• Conduct site meetings and communicate technical findings to stakeholders and contractors.
• Mentor junior engineering staff and provide technical guidance.
• Maintain organized records of inspections, test results, and project documentation.
• Ensure compliance with UAE building codes, regulations, and industry best practices.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of professional structural engineering experience, including at least 5 years in site-based roles.
• Expertise in structural analysis and design for concrete and steel structures.
• Advanced proficiency with STAAD Pro, SAP2000, or equivalent structural analysis software.
• Strong knowledge of AutoCAD and Building Information Modeling software.
• Understanding of UAE building codes, international standards, and construction regulations.
• Experience in site inspection, quality control, and structural compliance verification.

Workplace

• The role is site-based in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
• Newly hired employees must attend an in-person Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office location.
