Role Overview
SSOE Group is hiring a Senior Structural Engineer to support diverse global projects for high-tech clients.
The role focuses on steel and concrete industrial structures and heavy equipment supports.
Responsibilities
- Use AutoCAD to design steel and concrete industrial structures and heavy equipment supports.
- Produce high-quality AutoCAD 2D drawing packages with design notes, framing plans, sections, elevations, and connection details.
- Interpret vendor and manufacturing data, and verify project-specific design information and structural coefficients.
- Coordinate with engineers, project managers, and other disciplines from scope definition through construction documentation.
- Interpret field measurements, identify constructability issues, and communicate constraints to the design team.
- Perform structural calculations or analysis based on academic and professional background.
- Attend project kickoff, review, and coordination meetings, and deliver work on schedule and within budget.
Work Timings
- The role requires 8-hour shifts split between 8:00 a.m. to noon and 8:00 p.m. to midnight to overlap with USA teams.
- Late evening availability is required for meetings with US counterparts and project needs.
Qualifications
- A full-time bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering is required.
- The role requires 8–12 years of experience.
- Proficiency in steel and concrete design drawing production using AutoCAD 2D is required.
- Working knowledge of steel detailing, modeling, and cross-disciplinary coordination in Revit is required by the description, while Revit experience is also described as a plus.
- Experience with US codes is preferred.
- Candidates should be organized, accountable, able to multitask, and comfortable working with minimal supervision.
