Role overview
CIMA+ is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join its Buildings team.
The role covers projects in commercial, institutional, educational, sports and recreation, healthcare, airport, transportation and industrial sectors.
The position includes mentoring structural engineers and fostering client relationships.
Work arrangement
- This is a hybrid role based out of either the Bowmanville or Mississauga office.
- The role requires two days at the office, with some construction support performed remotely and on site.
Primary responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership, project management, business development and client relationship building.
- Coordinate technical work and manage projects across disciplines.
- Lead or contribute to structural design for buildings across multiple sectors.
- Perform feasibility studies, preliminary and detailed designs, and technical assessments.
- Analyze construction methods and prepare cost estimates.
- Provide technical support during construction, remotely and on site.
- Manage project delivery, financial performance, change orders, submissions and quality assurance.
- Prepare proposals and lead the design of concrete, steel and mass timber structures.
