Role Overview
As a Senior Staff Software Engineer on Project Matrix, you will provide durable technical leadership for our embedded cameras ecosystem.
You will shape the engineering organization by driving system-wide architecture and identifying technical bets that create a long-term competitive advantage.
Your team vertically owns embedded camera development—from device-level software and encoding to storage, streaming, and analytics.
Operating within a JDM model, you will leverage Yocto and AI-driven methodologies to build robust edge devices that power LVT’s intelligent site solutions.
This role can be fully remote, or based on-site at our HQ in Utah or in Seattle.
Regular travel is expected to our Headquarters in American Fork, Utah (if remote) as well as to our Joint Design Manufacturing (JDM) partners.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
- System-Wide Architecture: Own and drive architectural decisions for LVT's embedded camera platforms, ensuring designs hold up over multi-year horizons and support both current capabilities and future technical bets.
- Domain Ownership: Architect and govern the software running directly on edge devices, as well as the underlying infrastructure for on-camera encoding, video storage, streaming, and retrieval.
