The Core Infrastructure team builds and evolves the foundational platform used by Robinhood engineering teams for trading, crypto, and global expansion.
Infrastructure is treated as a product that should be reliable, fast to provision, and invisible to teams building on it.
The Senior Staff Software Developer will own the architectural evolution of service mesh and connectivity, compute platform, and infrastructure provisioning.
Workplace
- The role is based in Robinhood's Toronto, Ontario office, with in-person attendance expected at least three days per week.

What you'll do
- Own service mesh architecture, including Robinhood's Istio and Envoy deployment, deprecated communication patterns, and multi-region networking foundation.
- Drive Kubernetes compute platform evolution across cluster lifecycle, scheduling, control plane architecture, and multi-region resiliency.
- Transform Terraform configurations into a scalable, self-service infrastructure provisioning capability.
- Diagnose issues at Kubernetes API machinery, etcd, Envoy xDS, and Terraform provider layers, and contribute upstream when appropriate.
