The role is for a hands-on Senior Java Backend Engineer building scalable, high-performance enterprise applications.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop scalable backend applications and REST APIs using Java and Spring Boot.
- Design and optimize systems handling millions of records and concurrent users.
- Optimize PostgreSQL queries, joins, indexes, execution plans, transactions, locks, and connection pools.
- Design PostgreSQL and MongoDB data models.
- Implement pagination, batch processing, bulk operations, partitioning, archiving, and asynchronous processing.
- Develop fault-tolerant batch jobs that can restart or resume after failure.
- Resolve performance issues across application, database, and JVM layers.
- Prevent API timeouts and connection-pool exhaustion during heavy operations.
- Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and technical mentoring.
- Troubleshoot application and database performance issues in production.
Required Skills
- Have 5–6 years of backend development experience.
- Have strong hands-on expertise in Java 8 or later, including Java 17 and 21, and Spring Boot.
- Have experience with Spring Data JPA/Hibernate, REST APIs, and transaction management.
- Have strong PostgreSQL knowledge including complex SQL, EXPLAIN ANALYZE, indexing, partitioning, locking, and performance tuning.
- Have working experience with MongoDB data modeling, aggregation, indexing, and bulk operations.
- Have experience processing millions of records through batch, chunk-based, paginated, or streaming approaches.
- Understand multithreading, concurrency, asynchronous processing, and memory-efficient application design.
- Have experience with Spring Batch or an equivalent framework.
- Have strong debugging, problem-solving, and production-support capabilities.
Preferred Skills
- AWS services including RDS, EC2, S3, and ALB/NLB are preferred.
- Redis or similar caching technologies are preferred.
- Kafka, RabbitMQ, or another messaging platform is preferred.
- Docker, CI/CD, monitoring, and observability tools are preferred.
- JVM profiling, performance tuning, and high-volume enterprise application experience are preferred.
