Role overview
Designs, develops, documents, and supports technically detailed software applications.
Provides application software development services or technical support for situations of moderate complexity.
May gather requirements and prepare business and system requirements documents.
Contributes to area objectives and mentors junior-level engineers.
Responsibilities
- Program well-designed, testable, and efficient code and develop test-automation suites.
- Create flowcharts, layouts, and documentation to satisfy requirements and solutions.
- Maintain software functionality and currency, including addressing technical debt.
- Conduct test plan and test data reviews and develop software verification and quality assurance procedures.
- Troubleshoot, debug, upgrade, maintain, support, and enhance existing systems and platforms.
- Participate in deployment processes while following required change controls.
- Collaborate with data engineers, business users, project managers, and other engineers.
- Promote reuse of existing products and functionality and apply software development best practices.
- Complete mandatory training and participate in ongoing technical learning.
- Act as a mentor to junior-level engineers.
