Job Description
- Senior Specialist Business Applications is responsible for the assigned ADGM line of business applications and platforms throughout their life cycle.
- Providing digitization and automation solutions, develop and maintain business applications and implement innovative solutions to meet ADGM’s customer and business needs.
- This role will work with key business and IT stakeholders to confirm requirements, consider design alternatives, develop, enhance and maintain assigned business applications and platforms.
- Lead internal and external resources from initiation of an initiative, requirements gatherings, solutioning, delivery, operations and optimization.
Operational
- Responsible for planning, coordinating, solutioning, and supervising all activities related to the assigned business applications.
- Reviews assigned business applications and designs a technical management strategy to meet operational needs.
- Develops assigned business applications; monitors operations and assures the quality of the support services.
- Develop and operate innovative solutions to meet the requirements of a multi channel point of interactions.
- Aligns business goals with assigned applications roadmaps and priorities.
- Provides support for users of assigned business applications; defines problems, identifies and isolates errors, and implements technical solutions.
- Manages vendor relationships for assigned applications and platforms and monitors their performance.
- Manage onshore and offshore professionals responsible for all developments and operations and maintenance.
- Evaluates and analyses IT issues, and recommends and implements solutions.
- Recommends improvements to the overall management and development of Business Applications.
- Supports Technology Services by acting as business relationship manager and a trusted advisor.
- Manages and enforces all aspects of system security and confidentiality of records and information.
Managerial
- Creates an environment where team members consistently drive to improve performance.
- Manages team with full accountability for achieving overall agreed objectives.

Education & Work Experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent with relevant certifications.
- Minimum 8 10+ years’ experience in Application management and development role.
- Ability to demonstrate strong understanding of business needs – ensuring that IT solutions align with strategy and requirements.
- Experience of stakeholder engagement and management up to Senior Executive levels.
- Experience of application management concepts, strategies, methodologies, best practices, techniques and technologies.
- Experienced in end to end project delivery including requirements elicitation, gathering and re engineering, documentation at all levels of SDLC, review of the test cases, conducting user acceptance testing and user trainings.
- Experience running formal procurement exercises and negotiating resulting contracts for application licenses, implementation and support.
- Experience with Enterprise CRM platforms.
- Experience with Web portals, i.e. internet, intranet.
- Experience with automation and digitization.
- Experience in the management of financial systems (banking, investment banking, FinTech).
- Ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders across the organisations supported both internally and externally.
