Serve as the primary technical resource for the Account Executive team.
Advise clients on requirements, pain points, and solution design.
Act as a trusted technical advisor throughout the customer sales cycle.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Account Executives to understand customer challenges and communicate Sumo Logic’s value proposition.
- Technically close complex opportunities using competitive knowledge, technical expertise, and credibility.
- Lead technical validations, trials, and Proof of Value engagements.
- Deliver product and technical demonstrations of the Sumo Logic service.
- Work with executives, developers, and Site Reliability Engineers across customer organizations.
- Collaborate with Product Management and Engineering to improve the service based on customer experience.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required.
- At least five years of relevant experience is preferred across solutions, sales engineering, architecture, implementation, support, SRE, or software development roles.
- Hands-on knowledge of security products and technologies is required.
- Experience with SaaS solutions, multi-tenant architectures, cloud platforms, and technical infrastructure is required.
- Strong written and verbal communication, business acumen, and technical acumen are required.
Preferred technical experience
- Experience with open-source collection tools such as Telegraf, FluentBit, FluentD, or OpenTelemetry is preferred.
- Experience leading Proof of Value technical validations is preferred.
- Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, or Lambda is preferred.
- Experience with monitoring tools such as Splunk, Datadog, Elastic, or New Relic is preferred.
- Azure certification is preferred.
