AVEVA is hiring a Principal Solution Architect for PI Data Infrastructure and CONNECT Digital Twin initiatives.

The role leads architecture, solution design, customer engagement, and delivery of industrial data solutions.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead solution architecture, workshops, implementation planning, and technical design for customer programmes.
  • Gather customer requirements, manage stakeholders, and act as a trusted advisor and escalation point.
  • Define architecture standards, templates, best practices, and rollout approaches for enterprise deployments.
  • Collaborate with product, services, sales, pre-sales, and delivery teams to shape customer value and use cases.
  • Mentor multidisciplinary teams of architects, engineers, developers, UX specialists, and industry experts.

Essential requirements

  • 15 or more years of relevant experience in solution architecture, consulting, services delivery, or industrial software implementation.
  • Deep PI Data Infrastructure experience covering PI Server, connectivity, protocols, alerting, aggregation, Asset Framework, PI Vision, and PI DataLink.
  • Strong industrial experience in asset-intensive sectors such as energy, mining, utilities, manufacturing, chemicals, or data centres.
  • Ability to lead workshops, translate requirements into system designs, and communicate with technical and business stakeholders.
  • Experience with global or regional industrial data programmes across multiple plants or sites.

Desired skills

  • Experience with AVEVA CONNECT data, sharing, analytics, visualisation, digital twin, DataOps, or AI/ML capabilities.
  • Understanding of SCADA, PI Interfaces and Connectors, OPC DA/UA, Modbus, DCS, and industrial automation connectivity.
  • Experience with AF SDK/.NET, PI administration, archive management, PI calculations, troubleshooting, backups, and dashboards.
  • Experience with KPI mapping, pre-sales, estimation, proposals, project risk management, or partner capability building.
