  • Own features through conception, design, implementation, testing, release, and maintenance.
  • Diagnose complex bugs, performance bottlenecks, memory leaks, rendering issues, and compatibility problems.
  • Propose robust architectural or design solutions.

Required qualifications

  • At least 3 years of Windows desktop application development using Windows App SDK, WinUI or similar, C#, and XAML.
  • Deep understanding of Windows application architecture and managed-to-native code interoperation.
  • Experience designing, building, and shipping production-quality desktop applications.
  • Strong experience with Windows accessibility APIs and accessible software development.
  • Strong software engineering fundamentals, including OOP, design patterns, algorithms, memory management, and multithreading or asynchronous programming.
  • Experience leading technical design, mentoring engineers, conducting code reviews, and making architecture decisions.
  • Strong communication skills and a user-centric mindset.

Preferred and bonus experience

  • Automated UI testing and relevant testing frameworks.
  • Desktop performance optimization, including memory, startup time, rendering, high-DPI support, and responsiveness.
  • Localization, globalization, right-to-left UI support, or internationalization.
  • Telemetry, analytics, crash reporting, logging, or error monitoring.
  • CI/CD workflows, release pipelines, or deployment strategies for desktop applications.
  • Long-term ownership of feature areas, including maintenance, refactoring, and technical debt management.

Workplace

  • Speechify operates as a 100% distributed company with no office.

What we offer
