Role overview
Relay is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for Voyager, an engineering group focused on AI foundations, emerging technology, and developer enablement.
Voyager works across infrastructure hardening and exploratory prototyping so product teams can build quickly on reliable foundations.
What you will do
- Build and deploy secure, reusable LLM systems and own them across design, deployment, and monitoring.
- Lead research and proof-of-concept initiatives for emerging technologies and make adoption recommendations.
- Provide tooling, patterns, and guidance that help teams ship AI workflows quickly and safely.
- Partner with product teams as an AI expert to support sound technical decisions.
- Identify improvements and influence technical direction and long-term strategy.
- Mentor junior engineers and lead initiatives improving code quality, performance, and development processes.
Who you are
- You have 3+ years of full-stack software engineering experience.
- You have led significant components or features with minimal oversight.
- You can move effectively between exploratory spikes and production systems.
- You have strong judgment when evaluating emerging technology.
- You mentor junior engineers and support team growth.
