How You Will Make an Impact
The engineer will join an Agile team creating product features and enhancements for the Connector SDK.
The SDK powers connectors used in Boomi integrations, with collaboration across product and support teams.
The role may include using and developing AI features in engineering.
What You Will Do
- Participate in design, development, and unit testing of Boomi products.
- Deliver enhancements and resolve reported issues while working independently with minimal technical guidance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software.
- Investigate defects, identify root causes, and propose solutions.
- Mentor engineers through design collaboration and code reviews.
The Experience You Bring
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience with Java, Advanced Java, JUnit, CI/CD, and source control systems.
- Ability to learn new tools, languages, and operating systems with minimal training.
- Experience with software architecture design, IDEs, and object-oriented design concepts.
- Experience with Agile collaboration tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
- Experience designing RESTful APIs and using OpenAPI, Lavender, Postman, or SOAP UI.
Bonus Points
- Linux or Unix experience is a bonus.
- Application or data integration knowledge, including ETL, is a bonus.
- Harness, Jenkins, Maven, or other CI/CD build tool experience is a bonus.
- AWS, SQL, relational database, or Hibernate experience is a bonus.
- Experience with AI coding assistants such as Claude Code, Cursor, or AWS Q is a bonus.
Location
- The position is based in Vancouver and uses a hybrid work arrangement.
Compensation
- Base compensation for the Vancouver hub ranges from $129,388 to $161,735 CAD annually, plus applicable bonus.
- Final compensation depends on knowledge, skills, experience, and geographic location.
