Role Overview:
The Senior Software Engineer at Nuix works closely with Engineering Managers, Principal Engineers, Architects, and the Product team to deliver high-quality Nuix Products that serve both the company and its customers. We are looking for a software engineer with good understanding and experience building applications with Java.
Location:
- This position will be based in our Sydney office. The candidate is required to attend the office a minimum of 3 days per week but may voluntarily elect to work either remotely or from the Sydney office for the remaining 2 days of the week.
Key Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end delivery of significant features and epics — design, build, test and ship.
- Bring greater awareness of non-functional requirements (security, performance, DevOps) and ensure architecture principles are followed.
- Provide thoughtful, pragmatic code review on complex PRs, capturing security concerns and ensuring secure-by-design practices.
- Set and refine code best practices; help maintain and improve QA gates.
- Be active in architecture discussions — asking questions, challenging approaches, contributing to target state.
- Drive collaboration within the team and communicate effectively across teams and geographies.
- Mentor and support mid-level, associate and graduate engineers.
