Dauch is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to support ePowertrain AWD and eDrive product development.
The role involves designing, developing, testing, and architecting embedded software for automotive driveline systems.
Projects require strategic direction, cross-disciplinary integration, and development of software engineering guidelines and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Capture and analyze customer and system software requirements, defects, and changes.
- Define functional requirements, timing and resource constraints, verification criteria, and safety relevance.
- Develop static and dynamic software architecture and allocate requirements to architectural elements.
- Perform software safety analysis, dependent failure analysis, memory map design, and runtime simulation.
- Apply UML, AUTOSAR, operating system, communication, diagnostics, functional safety, and cybersecurity principles.
- Verify software through reviews, static and dynamic analysis, and testing.
- Deliver architecture documents in ARXML notation and prepare software components for integration.
- Participate in requirements, architecture, integration, qualification, and ASPICE reviews and audits.
- Support detailed planning, team coordination, and collaboration between system and software teams.
Required qualifications
- Engineering or postgraduate engineering degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering.
- 4 to 8 years of relevant automotive domain experience.
- Hands-on experience in powertrain or chassis systems, AUTOSAR architecture, and software requirements and architecture.
- Hands-on understanding of ASPICE SWE1 and SWE2 processes.
- Experience integrating third-party safety components and making design decisions.
- Fluency in English.
- Local infrequent travel may be required.
Preferred qualifications
- Prior experience with software detailed design and implementation.
- Experience with requirements, architecture, modeling, testing, debugging, Vector, ETAS, or equivalent automotive software tools.
