Senior Software Engineer, Security and Privacy, Detection AI, Core

Responsibilities

• Scope out problems in detection and response space and enable the organizational strategy to move left in the detection pipeline.
• Set technical direction, author comprehensive design documents, and lead design reviews for complex, multi-quarter features within the team.
• Partner closely with cross-functional peers and sister SWE teams to resolve architectural dependencies and align project timelines.
• Guide, mentor, and delegate tasks to adjacent junior and mid-level engineers, fostering a collaborative engineering culture.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience. - 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages. - 3 years of experience building software for data privacy or security (e.g., identity and access management). - 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products. - 1 year of experience with software design and architecture. Preferred qualifications: - 5 years of experience with data structures and algorithms. - 1 year of experience in a technical leadership role. - Experience in security systems, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. - Experience as a technical lead with a proven track record of leading teams. - Experienced in navigating high-ambiguity environments and defining technical strategy for engineering teams.
