Role Overview
The Observability team owns telemetry, distributed tracing, logs, instrumentation libraries, data processing pipelines, data storage, and visualization UI.
The role supports observability infrastructure for Roblox software components and platform services.
Responsibilities
- Define the observability vision and roadmap with business partners and lead end-to-end project execution.
- Own and evolve scalable, reliable, and easy-to-use observability infrastructure.
- Architect infrastructure for tens of billions of active time series and petabytes of daily log and tracing data.
- Mentor junior engineers and help them improve their software and technical knowledge.
Required Qualifications
- At least 5 years of working experience.
- Experience building, maintaining, and evolving large-scale distributed systems.
