About the role
Vix Technology is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to develop mission-critical software solutions for public transportation.
The engineer will collaborate with platform specialists to design and implement robust, scalable software applications.
What you will do
- Design, develop, test, and maintain secure, scalable, and reusable software solutions.
- Contribute to Agile planning and reviews and collaborate with analysts, product owners, and architects.
- Mentor junior engineers through knowledge sharing, code reviews, and technical coaching.
- Investigate and resolve production incidents as a technical escalation point.
- Communicate technical concepts clearly and provide constructive feedback across teams.
Essential requirements
- At least five years of C# and modern .NET software development experience is required.
- Experience with AWS services including API Gateway, SNS, SQS, ECS, and S3 is required.
- RESTful API, event-driven architecture, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, and automated testing experience is required.
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field is required.
Desirable qualifications
- Git-based workflows and awareness of CI/CD best practices are desirable.
- RabbitMQ, Angular, Python, JavaScript, and Splunk experience are desirable.
- Transport technology or rail ticketing experience or interest is desirable.
