The Role
The mobile app is the primary interaction point for members, allowing them to control and configure the product and gain insights.
The Senior Android Software Engineer will join the Engineering team and work closely with technical, product, hardware, and executive stakeholders.
The role emphasizes pixel-perfect mobile experiences, beautiful animations, strong product quality, and technical excellence.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with backend, firmware, machine learning, research, growth, hardware, and executive teams.
- Conduct code reviews and ensure code quality.
- Optimize application performance to enhance the member experience.
- Build and ship high-quality features for the native Android application.
Required Qualifications
- At least 6 years of experience shipping high-quality features for native Android apps.
- Fluent proficiency in Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, Coroutines, Flow, MVVM, and MVI.
- Experience building scalable, testable, enterprise-grade applications.
- Ability to work efficiently in a rapid-paced environment while maintaining stability.
Bonus Qualifications
- Proficiency building custom UI components in Compose.
- Experience building software for hardware products, particularly in the health or medical field.
- Experience working with health-related applications and peripherals.
Compensation
- Compensation range is $200,000 to $235,000 per year.
- Full-time employees receive equity participation, with periodic equity refreshes based on performance.
