Role Overview
The Senior Software Engineer will provide technical leadership for architecting, developing, and owning the addressability area of the Zeta Marketing Platform.
The role focuses on real-time systems, identity solutions, distributed systems, cloud architecture, and reliable low-latency data processing.
This is a hybrid role based out of the London, UK office.
Essential Responsibilities
- Build, refine, tune, and maintain real-time infrastructure.
- Design, develop, and maintain data collection and real-time data processing services.
- Work with Product Managers to design and build data products.
- Work with DevOps to scale and optimize infrastructure.
- Participate in architecture discussions, influence the roadmap, and own new projects.
- Participate in the on-call rotation.
- Mentor developers through knowledge-sharing sessions.
Desired Characteristics
- Minimum 4 years of software engineering experience.
- At least 2 years of experience or fluency in Scala or Java.
- Proficiency with relational and NoSQL databases.
- Experience using AWS cloud services at scale and Terraform.
- Expertise designing distributed, low-latency, scalable cloud solutions.
- Experience with the software development lifecycle from inception to production and monitoring.
- Experience with agile software development processes.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- A relevant undergraduate degree is strongly desired but not stated as mandatory.
- Experience with containers, ZIO, Akka, Play Framework, or advertising attribution is a plus.
