The role supports Charles River Development enterprise investment management software within State Street.
The position focuses on complex software enhancements and solutions across investment management, wealth management, and hedge fund domains.
Responsibilities
- Analyze, design, develop, test, and debug complex software enhancements and solutions.
- Collaborate with Business Analysts and Product Managers to create sustainable solutions.
- Provide technical leadership and product architecture guidance.
- Develop and implement software using Java, C#, SQL, JavaScript, and related languages.
- Write unit and automation tests, conduct manual testing, and improve test methodologies.
- Troubleshoot mission-critical client implementations and coordinate cross-team activities.
- Participate in Scrum ceremonies and advance the team’s Agile development practices.
Experience
- At least 9 years of professional software engineering experience in core and enterprise Java.
- At least 6 years designing highly transactional, concurrent, event-driven systems.
- At least 6 years of cloud-native application development experience.
- At least 8 years of experience with Spring Boot, microservices, Kafka, and cloud databases.
- Extensive Oracle and SQL Server experience with complex, high-performing SQL.
- UI development experience with C#, React, and JavaScript is preferred.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and mentoring abilities.
- Strong understanding of Agile development methodology and software engineering practices.
Education
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical field is preferred.
