Role Overview
Asana’s Security Development team builds durable, secure-by-default solutions to protect infrastructure and products.
The role engineers preventative controls at scale through platforms, frameworks, libraries, and foundational security services.
What You’ll Achieve
- Design, build, and maintain secure-by-default frameworks, libraries, and platforms to eliminate classes of vulnerabilities.
- Engineer access control frameworks, secrets management infrastructure, and AWS permissions systems.
- Develop and own vulnerability remediation platforms and tooling.
- Architect and implement security controls for cloud networking and compute infrastructure.
- Recommend security improvements to product teams across design, development, launch, and incident phases.
- Influence engineering initiatives through design reviews and security principles.
Workplace
- The role is based in Asana’s San Francisco office with an office-centric hybrid schedule.
- Standard in-office days are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, with work-from-home options generally available on Wednesday and depending on the role on Friday.
