Opportunity Overview
RBC is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Ownr team and build new platform capabilities for business owners.
The role provides influence across the technology stack, significant autonomy, and opportunities to act as a technical leader.
The engineer will work with engineers, product managers, designers, and stakeholders in an enterprise environment.
Role Responsibilities
- Plan, design, develop, deploy, monitor, and maintain significant portions of the software and system infrastructure.
- Improve assigned features iteratively and make reducing technical debt a regular practice.
- Drive solutions through unforeseen challenges while taking ownership of tasks and project outcomes.
- Understand software user challenges and apply that understanding to product and engineering decisions.
- Mentor and coach developers and provide guidance when teammates need help.
- Use modern tooling and contribute to reliable delivery of the desired user experience.
Technology Stack
- The web client uses React and Styled Components.
- The web server uses Node.js, JavaScript, TypeScript, and Express.
