Role Overview

This is a full-stack software engineering role with a frontend focus, not a frontend-only role.

The team is building a 0-to-1 real-money prediction and trading platform for sports, culture, and markets.

Approximately 70% to 80% of the role focuses on the web experience, with ongoing backend contribution.

What You Will Do

  • Lead design, development, and deployment of web experiences using React, Next.js, and TypeScript.
  • Own features end to end across frontend and backend.
  • Contribute to backend platform services in Go.
  • Work closely with design and other full-stack engineers.
  • Help establish standards for an AI-native engineering team.

What Is Important

  • Have strong hands-on production experience with backend services, including experience shipping and owning services rather than only consuming APIs.
  • Have built user interfaces from the ground up that were used at real scale.
  • Operate effectively across functions, focus on people and outcomes, and make pragmatic decisions with incomplete information.
  • Actively use AI tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or Copilot to accelerate production software delivery.

Required Experience

  • Production experience with React, Next.js, and TypeScript on B2C consumer-facing web products.
  • Production experience contributing to backend services in Go, Node.js/TypeScript, Java, Python, or another modern stack.
  • Examples of using AI tools to accelerate personal delivery.
  • Experience leading or shaping work across teams, functions, or stakeholders.
  • Experience with a 0-to-1 build and rapidly changing product roadmaps.
  • Right to work in the UK is required.

Additional Fit

  • Curiosity about prediction markets, trading products, or fast-moving consumer platforms is advantageous.
  • The role values engineers who can influence outcomes, collaborate cross-functionally, and work across the product end to end.

Workplace and Process

  • The role is fully remote for candidates based in the UK.
  • The process includes live coding or pairing, a systems design interview, and a discussion about ways of working.
  • AI tools are not used in the live coding or pairing exercise.

Compensation

  • Compensation includes a competitive salary dependent on level, bonus, stock options, and unlimited holiday.
