Design, implement, and optimize low-level C++ and BrightScript systems for graphics rendering, OS services, and the FRAME engine.
Shape core architecture and solve performance-critical embedded systems challenges affecting tens of millions of users.
The role includes mentoring others and contributing to the future of Roku's streaming platform.
What You'll Do
- Build scalable UI features optimized for millions of users.
- Lead technical investigations and architect solutions for complex embedded systems challenges.
- Integrate AI and machine learning capabilities and use generative AI tools to accelerate development.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on global platform features.
- Develop engineering tools and mentor junior developers.
- Stay current with AI trends and emerging technologies.
Required Experience
- At least five years of software engineering experience with UI development expertise.
- Advanced C++ skills plus proficiency in Python or JavaScript.
- Strong root cause analysis and technical communication abilities.
- Knowledge of AI applications and experience with generative AI tools.
- A proactive mindset with passion for continuous learning and fast iteration.
