Role Overview

The PDEGO team is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Data Operations to own the reliability, observability, and operational health of its data platform.

What You'll Do

  • Build monitoring systems, alerting pipelines, and health dashboards that provide real-time visibility into platform status.
  • Participate in production incident response, including triage, resolution, stakeholder communication, and post-mortems.
  • Automate repetitive operational work such as access requests, backfill coordination, and pipeline health checks.
  • Work on Snowflake infrastructure through Terraform, including access controls, cost monitoring, and warehouse configuration.
  • Collaborate with Data Engineering on system design and code reviews focused on reliability and operability.
  • Maintain runbooks, incident response playbooks, and platform documentation.
  • Improve platform reliability, query performance, and data accessibility for global analyst teams.
  • Implement improvements to team tooling, processes, and operational practices.

Who You Are

  • 6-8+ years in software engineering with meaningful SRE, platform engineering, or data infrastructure experience.
  • Production incident response experience, including stakeholder communication and post-incident analysis.
  • Deep monitoring and observability knowledge covering alerting, SLOs, dashboards, and distributed-system root cause analysis.
  • Hands-on Snowflake or equivalent data warehouse experience with access management, cost governance, and performance tuning.
  • Infrastructure-as-code experience; Terraform is strongly preferred.
  • Strong debugging skills across cloud infrastructure, data pipelines, and distributed systems.
  • Familiarity with Fivetran, dbt, Airflow, or equivalent data pipeline tooling.
  • Clear communication, a motivation to reduce toil through automation, and interest in the music business.

Preferred Experience

  • AWS experience is preferred.

Compensation

  • The anticipated New York annual base salary range is $169,000-$197,000 USD.
  • Base salary excludes other compensation and benefits and depends on qualifications, experience, skills, education, certifications, and work location.

What We Give You

  • Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life and disability coverage, 401K matching, voluntary support programs, professional development, and winter recess.
