Unloan is a start-up inside Commonwealth Bank focused on AI-powered lending experiences at scale.
The Senior Software Engineer joins the Customer Acquisition Squad and builds customer-facing experiences across the home lending journey.
The role combines start-up autonomy with the scale, trust, and stability of a major bank.
Core responsibilities
- Design, architect, and build customer-facing home lending experiences.
- Own solutions end to end from implementation and testing through deployment and production support.
- Use AI orchestrators, harnesses, and models to accelerate delivery and improve software quality.
- Influence decisions and directly shape customer outcomes within a micro-squad.
Candidate requirements
- Strong TypeScript, React, Next.js, and Node.js development experience.
- Ability to design, build, and consume GraphQL and REST APIs.
- Solid PostgreSQL expertise across modelling, migrations, and optimisation.
- Understanding of scalable system design, distributed services, and integrations.
- Ability to write secure, well-tested, maintainable production code.
- Experience working with full-cycle ownership and production support.
