About the Department

The center builds large-scale data commons, computing resources, applications, tools, and services for research communities.
Job Summary
Senior Software Engineers develop open-source web application platforms by analyzing requirements, designing and testing software, reviewing code, maintaining applications, and documenting development.
Engineers are expected to support full-stack development, with some specializing in backend or frontend technologies.
The position is wholly or partially funded by grant funding and continued employment depends on renewed funding and satisfactory performance.
Responsibilities
- Deliver technical tasks on time and at the required quality level and participate in complex design and implementation activities.
- Support and maintain existing applications and respond to user requests.
- Mentor interns and onboarding staff and provide technical leadership on initiatives.
