Job Summary
Cat Digital develops digital capabilities for Caterpillar equipment and portfolios spanning data, analytics, AI, eCommerce, marketing, and equipment management.
The Senior Software Engineer will join the Data Engineering team and develop Python data pipelines supporting applications.
What You Will Do
- Develop Python data pipelines that build business data objects used by applications.
- Perform complex programming, project management, and development assignments without close supervision.
- Identify and resolve complex application and technical problems.
- Interpret design requirements for engineering implementation.
- Build and deploy CI/CD pipelines and implement source-to-target mapping as pipeline code.
- Perform unit and integration testing.
- Maintain high standards of software quality through effective team practices.
- Identify areas for team growth and improvement.
Required Capabilities
- Strong expertise in software development tools and activities.
- Strong expertise in the software development lifecycle.
- Strong expertise in software product design and architecture.
- Strong technical knowledge of software product design, configuration, and integration.
