Role overview

Responsibilities

• Build, develop, and maintain Java and AWS applications.
• Implement robust and scalable REST APIs.
• Architect services for performance, security, and reliability.
• Collaborate with multifunctional teams to implement solutions.
• Optimize applications for performance and scalability.
• Build user documentation and ensure code quality through testing and code reviews.

Required technical skills

• Strong proficiency in Java 8 or higher and comprehensive knowledge of core Java and JVM concepts.
• Expertise developing and modifying REST and SOAP APIs.
• Proficiency with AWS services including Lambda, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, IAM, CloudWatch, Glue, and Batch.
• Proficiency in SQL, relational databases, optimization, and performance tuning.
• Experience with Git, GitHub Actions, Maven or Gradle, Docker, CI/CD, and deployment automation.
• Hands-on experience with AI tools such as GitHub Copilot or Claude.
• Proficiency with JUnit, Mockito, integration testing, and automated testing practices.

Preferred qualifications

• Prior EIS development experience, Core Velocity experience, or experience building EIS Extensions is advantageous.
• Knowledge of EIS Policy Core, EIS Customer Core, or EIS Billing is advantageous.
• AWS certification and observability experience with ELK Stack or Nobl9 are advantageous.
• Exposure to architecture and development principles for large-scale applications is advantageous.
• Experience with Agile or Scrum teams is advantageous.
