Job Description
The Senior Software Development Engineer will develop scalable applications used by thousands of employees for corporate travel needs.
Responsibilities
- Design, architect, and build the web version of the flagship product.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements for features and enhancements.
- Conduct code reviews for quality, maintainability, and coding standards.
- Identify and address performance bottlenecks, bugs, and technical issues.
- Optimize software for improved efficiency and scalability.
- Work with product managers, UX/UI designers, and other stakeholders on business needs.
Required Qualifications
- At least 4 years of experience with good knowledge of data structures and algorithms.
- Minimum 4 years of experience with strong coding skills in Python and Java.
- Good startup experience.
- Understanding of object-oriented programming, persistence, and multithreading.
- Proficiency in NoSQL databases such as MongoDB and distributed systems concepts.
- Experience with AWS, including CDK, Lambda, Step Functions, API Gateway, and ECS.
- Familiarity with Celery, RabbitMQ, and Kafka.
- Experience with open-source projects and REST API development.
- Basic understanding of deployment automation tools such as Jenkins and CodePipeline.
- An ownership mindset for contributed products and services.
Education and Communication
- A background in engineering with sound oral and written communication skills.
