Role Overview
Join Priceline’s Payments team as a Senior Software Engineer focused on systems that authorize, capture, and settle transactions across payment methods, currencies, and geographies.
The role supports conversion, transaction reliability, fraud prevention, alternative payments, security, data integrity, and global financial compliance.
Responsibilities
- Drive mission-critical projects and design fault-tolerant payment architectures for real-time decisioning, risk integrations, refunds, reconciliation, and reporting.
- Architect high-performance distributed systems processing millions of tracking events daily and supporting low-latency attribution APIs.
- Design security and durability models for data ingestion, mentor engineers, and influence scalable engineering practices.
- Provide real-time data flows for campaign reporting and budget allocation, and communicate technical findings to business stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field.
- 6+ years of software engineering and development experience.
- Strong Core Java or comparable programming experience, SQL skills, and experience with Spring Framework, web services, and APIs.
- Experience with cloud development, especially GCP, plus microservices, Kubernetes, Docker, and complex scalable application architecture.
