Team and platform
The Cosmic and M365 Deployments team builds hyperscale cloud infrastructure for Microsoft 365 services, including M365 Copilot, WorkIQ, and other critical experiences.
The team operates COSMIC, a managed container platform that enables Microsoft 365 services to deploy and operate with reliability, safety, and scale.
The work spans deployments, capacity management, networking, storage, security, reliability, and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Drive technical strategy, architecture, and execution for hyperscale cloud platform and deployment systems.
- Design and deliver large-scale infrastructure and platform investments and build secure, scalable, reliable distributed systems.
- Improve operational excellence through automation, observability, and reliability engineering.
- Ensure solutions meet security, privacy, compliance, accessibility, and service reliability standards.
- Mentor engineers, influence technical direction, and partner across Microsoft to deliver global business impact.
Future platform direction
- The team is advancing AI-first and agent-driven cloud platforms, AI-powered infrastructure, deployment velocity, reliability, and operational efficiency.
