Role Overview
Pocket FM is hiring a Senior Software Engineer - Backend to build high-performance APIs, scalable microservices, and robust infrastructure for its audio platform.
The role requires strong technical skills, problem-solving ability, and ownership in a fast-paced product environment.
Experience and Ownership
- Candidates should have 3–5 years of backend development experience in Python or Golang.
- Experience should include highly scalable systems, significant traffic or enterprise workloads, and end-to-end project ownership.
- Candidates should have built systems from scratch, made key technical decisions, and handled scalability, reliability, and performance challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services using Python or Golang.
- Develop and manage RESTful APIs for mobile, web, and internal tools.
- Collaborate with product, design, and analytics teams to deliver features at scale.
- Optimize performance, ensure high availability, and handle large-scale traffic.
- Write clean, modular, and testable code.
- Lead debugging, production issue resolution, and post-mortem analysis.
- Participate in code reviews and drive technical improvements.
