Role Overview
MongoDB is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for its AI Interfaces team within AI Builder Experience.
The team builds the surfaces through which developers and AI agents connect to MongoDB, including MCP Server, Agent Skills, an Intelligent Assistant Platform, and purpose-built agents.
The role involves technical direction, architecture, end-to-end project ownership, and work with rapidly evolving technologies.
Workplace and On-Call
- The role can be based out of the MongoDB Gurugram office.
- Participation in a 24/7 on-call rotation is required for business continuity and incident response.
Position Expectations
- Collaborate with research, product, design, engineering, and other teams to define AI interface products.
- Design, build, and deliver well-tested platform components for agent and developer interactions with MongoDB.
- Take ownership of ambiguous problems and drive them to completion independently.
- Shape architecture, code reviews, development practices, and developer experience.
- Own projects and mentor fellow engineers while providing technical leadership.
