Success in this role is measured by improvements to delivery performance (DORA metrics), reduction of rework and bottlenecks, and uplift of team-wide engineering practices.
Discovers solutions earlier by using agentic tools to explore options and reduce uncertainty
Translates intent into planned technical direction suitable for agentic execution
Reduces known delivery bottlenecks by improving flow, practices, and feedback loops
Ensures quality, security, compliance, and correctness of everything committed under their account, even when artefacts are AI-generated
What you’ll need to make it possible
Advanced proficiency and strict discipline in typed languages (C# and/or TypeScript) using intentional domain modelling, generics, and type-safe APIs.
Understanding of backend and data fundamentals, including RESTful API design, SQL performance, normalisation, and NoSQL caching patterns.
Expert debugging skills for resolving complex service issues, integration problems, and production incidents.
Knowledge of Dynamics 365 and Dataverse entities, solutions, security models, and integration surfaces.
Experience with reliability engineering through retries, duplicate-request prevention, and OAuth2/OIDC authentication patterns.
Operational competency in structured logging, monitoring, and proactive error handling to ensure system health.
