Senior Software Engineer [604]

BS or higher in computer science, electrical/computer engineering, math, or physics

5+ years of hands-on professional software development experience

Strong Python software development experience and proficiency in at least one compiled or systems programming language, such as C++, Go, or Rust

Experience with scientific computing libraries such as NumPy

Experience contributing to open-source software projects

Competence with cloud platforms specifically AWS

Proficiency in database systems and SQL

Competence with Git version control, build tools, and CI/CD pipelines

Proficient with RESTful APIs

Use of software testing principles and practices including unit testing, integration testing, and end-to-end testing

Strong problem-solving skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced team environment

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively document and communicate technical concepts

Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes)

Experience with performance profiling and diagnosing system issues

The base pay range for this role is:

125,000 – 187,000 USD (New Haven)
