About the role
The Senior Software Development Engineer in Test role drives engineering-led quality for product reliability, scalability, and performance.
The role improves customer experience, release confidence, product stability, and engineering efficiency through strong automation practices.
Role ownership
- Enhance test automation coverage and strengthen CI/CD quality gates.
- Promote early defect detection to reduce manual QA effort, production defects, release risk, and engineering rework.
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and QA teams to build scalable quality processes.
- Use AI tools and AI-driven approaches for test design, test creation, log analysis, failure clustering, test optimization, debugging, and defect pattern detection.
What you bring
- 5+ years of software quality engineering experience, including automation direction, SDET mentoring, and technical execution.
- Hands-on experience building scalable UI, API, and backend integration test automation frameworks.
- Deep CI/CD experience with test integration, pipeline optimization, and release gating.
- Understanding of cloud environments, containers, microservices, service dependencies, and test environments.
- Experience with environment reliability, test data management, flaky test reduction, and performance testing.
- Experience collaborating with DevOps or SRE teams on system reliability, deployment stability, and observability.
- Ability to work from the Bangalore office 3 days per week.
