Role Overview

Applications and Platforms

• The technology environment includes Git, JFrog Artifactory, CI/CD, automated testing, observability, Terraform, Bicep, Microsoft Azure, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• AI capabilities include proprietary LLMs, model gateways, retrieval and hybrid search, vector databases, chat interfaces, agent orchestration frameworks, MCP, and evaluation tooling.
• Languages and frameworks include C#, .NET, Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, React, and Angular or similar front-end technologies.

Application and Architecture Work

• Build user-facing applications, APIs, services, and enterprise integrations for legal and business workflows.
• Design scalable applications that consume proprietary LLMs and intelligent agent frameworks.
• Define technical strategy, lead architecture, drive technical direction, and establish reusable engineering standards.
• Develop full-stack applications, secure APIs, microservices, middleware, and integration patterns.
• Lead technical designs, modernization strategies, sprint planning, estimation, and delivery planning.

Agentic Workflow Engineering

• Design agentic workflows that plan, call tools, and execute multi-step tasks through scoped tool and MCP interfaces.
• Build state management, retries, checkpointing, safe recovery, and human review or override points for agent runs.
• Define evaluations and regression tests, instrument agent runs, and optimize quality, latency, cost, and unit economics.
• Ensure agent activity is auditable and protected against prompt injection, data exfiltration, and unintended actions.

Security and Operations

• Implement authentication, authorization, auditing, monitoring, data governance, confidentiality, and secure development controls.
• Monitor application performance, scalability, reliability, user experience, and production agent quality.
• Lead incident investigations and root cause analyses and improve resiliency, monitoring, and operational maturity.
• Mentor engineers, lead design reviews, collaborate with stakeholders, and influence technology roadmaps.

Qualifications and Experience

• Experience with web applications, APIs, microservices, distributed systems, software architecture, and object-oriented design.
• Experience designing scalable, high-volume systems and leading enterprise-scale cross-functional technical delivery.
• Experience mentoring engineers, influencing technical direction, and establishing engineering standards.
• Experience with source control, automated testing, CI/CD, DevOps, and production LLM-backed software.
• Agent frameworks, MCP, and evaluation harness experience are preferred.
• Azure application development experience and relevant certifications are preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive enterprise software design, development, and delivery leadership experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related technical discipline or equivalent experience.

Compensation

• The annual compensation range is $180,000–$230,000.
• Salary within the range depends on qualifications and operational considerations.
